About
From tearing apart sandspurs to find the little seeds, to becoming a geologist in college, I have been fascinated with botany and mineral sciences all my life. Give me a deep sea mud facial mask or some organically grown chamomile to brew for tea, and I am one happy girl!
My family has always been a bit “odd” that way as they have always used homemade concoctions for all nature of things. My grandmother Morrison was a soapmaker and it’s something I have done since the age of 8. Never did I think I would make soap for a living. While I tried to rebel for a while, in time I couldn’t resist the urge to start my first business, Botanical Earth in 2001. Prior to that I had own an herbal business in Colorado handcrafting wild-crafted wreaths and flower arrangements along with making herbal salves, but never really took it seriously. Oce Botanical Earth was started, well the wheels were in motion.
Though my love is all plant based ingredients without synthetics, many of my friends and family prefer other types of products – so I always try to make the happy and hence, MoSoap was started in 2001 also.
My love will always be growing and harvesting pretty flowers and learning about plants. During my training as an herbalist, I was required to press and identify all the plants I studied, that lead to a love of pressed flower which has turned into the business, The Round Workshop.
Working the plants and living a pretty tranquil life sometimes can give one a bit of a spiritual bend in looking at things. Some people say faeries, some people say angels and some say spirits – words are hard to describe what others feel and see. Because of my love of religious art and the journey, Naturally Wicked was born.
So in this blog, you’ll find my rantings on all things herbal, artsy and the spiritual along with stories of my family and friends
Enjoy!
